Callion Location: Mount Paozu; Eastern Continent - Planet Earth Time: 15:52 PM Current Powerlevel: 148,821 Super Weighted Clothing: Equipped (75% PL gain) Power Level with Super Weighted Clothing: 37,205
The Forest path of Mount Paozu was honestly rather relaxing all things considered, taking the moment of quiet embrace with the bountiful nature that this particular part of the region offered for the Saiyan. Throughout his time on the planet after having been returned to life, he has managed to achieve much and explore parts of the planet that he never even remotely expected at all, and that’s not even counting the interactions with the people in the world. Indeed, the memories from such a long time were returning to the Saiyan warrior. From the vast Metropolis Cities to the simple village, from the weakest of civilians to the strongest fighters, Callion had seen them all and interacted with each person so far, and even to top it off he even managed to meet, three whole other hybrid Saiyans at the relative same time, female Saiyan warriors by the name of Zaks, Maycair, and Opherla – An accomplishment alone at that! From offering to train Opherla to be a student, to even taking up a serious conversation with Zaks who was a mother protecting her children when the two first met at the Bamboo Forest, this particular Saiyan Monk had live a newfound life on Earth that was well and truly full. Though unaware of the more… Breaking news, as one could put it, to what had exactly been going on across the globe as of late. More specifically what had mainly occurred on Earth after his passing, where Liari had gone on a powerful conquest in her own right. Just how he was going to be able to handle her and maybe able to STILL find away to remove the evil corruption within her was going to be an entirely different matter itself. It appeared that Callion still seemed to develop a knack in keeping aware from the national incidents as of late, using the opportunity to better himself and grow stronger as of late, MUCH stronger. This precious moments of devoting towards the art of training had even granted the Saiyan the honour and pleasure to become a student under none other than King Kai himself; the legendary guardian of North Galaxy that rules on his own planet in the afterlife who trained the likes of Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien in their many adventures across the planet Earth, who had become legends in their own right across the years, though the fact remains to whether or not the likes of him could reach that level had yet to be seen. After all, there was always time to train, and learn the art of combat from an earthling’s perspective combat to the physical training that Callion that embraced his full Saiyan nature, leaving behind the monk and now becoming a true Saiyan Warrior in his own eyes. Callion flew up to the sky around Mount Paozu landscape, clenching his fists. "I can't slack of now. I need to train harder now, more than ever. If I am going to be able to snap Liari out from her evil state, I will need to start training as a Super Saiyan..." Callion gritted his teeth and began to roar menacingly, his voice echoed throughout the land, causing the tress underneath to quake, the sky rupturing and a bright yellow light aura exploded from all around him. His power level going far beyond the normal barriers, pushing his energy to new heights. "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" In that moment, Callion's once jet-black hair turned into a bright platinum blonde, his eyes red - far different from a normal Super Saiyan, the fiery yellow aura engulfed him immensely, as he now started to train alone up in the air. Callion began to punch and kick with high velocity in the air, moving a lightning speed, dedicating the time to really give it his all in the training process, he was getting a real work out as he was wearing the Super weighted gi on his person. "HAAAH! HAAAH! RRAGH!!! COME ON CALLION! PUSH YOURSELF HARDER!!" The Saiyan shouted at himself, motivated by his goal of becoming stronger. He continued his intense training, pushing his limits and testing the extent of his power. He aimed to master the transformation into a Super Saiyan and hone his skills to be able to save Liari and defeat any obstacles that may come his way. Callion began to fire a sequence of ki energy blast, the yellow orbs of light flying all over the place from the palms of his hands, using the projectile energy that he made with his own hands to circle round and aimed at him. Raising his defences up, as he actually took the blows, to raise his natural body resistance, several loud explosions and a large dust debris where Callion got hit, was made evident in the sky. Callion was determined to master his ki control and improve his ability to defend against powerful attacks. He was using the energy blasts he fired at himself as a way to test and improve his defense skills. He pushed himself harder, taking the powerful blows without backing down, and was determined to emerge even stronger from this intense training. As Callion continued to train on his own as the precious minutes’ past, the air shook with his fully body weight of punches and kicks that quakes the very air, land and rivers from his power, his ki energy reading was being ridiculously high, which can leave just about anyone that is capable of sensing power levels to see him. Callion's training was intense and the energy he was emitting was shaking the surroundings. His power level was so high that it was noticeable by anyone who was capable of sensing such things. He was putting all of his efforts into becoming stronger and mastering his skills. If anything, being so out in the open in such a manner was dangerous, even for a Saiyan like him. But in his mind's eye, he couldn't slack for a moment, and he continued to push ever onward. Despite the potential danger, Callion was not deterred. He was determined to become stronger and was not going to let anything stop him from achieving his goals. He continued to train with determination and a relentless spirit, putting in all of his effort to reach the next level of his power.

There were few reasons that Athren had decided to land his ship in the area surrounding Mount Paozu and they couldn't have been more simplistic, his first reason was he held dear memories of his children there, it's where they camped, where they lived, laughed and loved. Those two children had been all over the landscape, exploring every cave, river and peak they could and while that part reminded Athren of all the good times, the cherished one, this landscape had also been there to remind him of his biggest defeat, the moment he failed as a father, the moment he had lost them both to somebody much stronger than him. This area was now a mixture of what he was feeling, with the wish he had made he was in a similar situation, but in this case it was the opposite. He had won by making the wish and restoring the lives of his children but on the other edge of that knife, they had forgotten him and he would never be their father again. It was a heavy weight he was still trying to comprehend, learn how to handle but the location was fitting.
His second reason for residing in the mountains was even easier, it was truly beautiful and stunning. It provided him with sight he couldn't get elsewhere. From the cooling breeze, the sounds of the wild animals running wild throughout nature, the sound of the countless waterfalls that crashed into bigger pools of water, it brought him a sense of peace, one that he couldn't replicate elsewhere. It calmed his soul when nothing else could, though it was a place that wounded him, it was also a place he felt could heal him.
The final big reason why he chose such a place to reside was the lack of population here. The Earth had many sights and regions to explore, the landscape was vast and provided plenty of different environments from large city landscapes to small rural country towns, but the best places were the places that most didn't go. Whether it be simply cause by a lack of transportation to cross the vast wilderness landscape of the mountains or something else, Athren had truly felt as if he was in exile here, alone with low risk of bumping into anybody but it would appear that today was going to be much different, more different than he could've ever imagined.
Now the Demon-Saiyan hybrid would expect something to go horribly wrong, for somebody to find him to attack despite the wish he had made. That was just the luck he was carrying as of late, it seem like trouble often found him and with that majin on the loose, he figured it was a matter of time until they crossed paths again and given their desire for trouble, it seemed the most likely but what Athren would come across today would be the complete opposite of that evil creature.
After his own little training session Athren had found himself in the kitchen of his ship. His ship was parked at the base of one of the mountains, hiding by the natural environment around him, a place where it could go relatively unnoticed. Lost in his own thoughts and comfortable, he made his lunch and focused on nothing outside of the walls of his ship. As he was whipping it up though, an incredible power had caught his attention for it was just far too close and powerful not to notice, but he didn't know this Ki, he didn't recognize the energy.
Before Athren could even react to it his ship started to rumble and shake, items on shelves and countertops slid off the surface and shattered upon the floor. Though he remained silent and sturdy, he couldn't help but think. ~This.. could be interesting.~ He wanted to investigate, he needed to investigate.
He made his way outside of his ship, staying low on the ground with his Ki suppressed. Instead of flying as per normal, he dashed forward, covering ground quickly until he was damn well underneath the Super Saiyan that was before him. It was at that point that Athren let some words slip, "Well, if there isn't more of us." Thought there was something different about this super saiyan, he HAD to engage, he could feel a positive energy in this guy and couldn't help but assume that he wouldn't be opposed to a sparring partner.
Darting up from the ground Athren picked his spot, it was in the path of one of Callion's Ki blasts. He arrived almost in an instant, Athren's own power level flaring up and being available for Callion to sense and with a swift backhand Athren smacked the Ki blast back towards the user of it. Athren couldn't help but suspect that this Super Saiyan would react to it perfectly, and even if he didn't it would do any damage at all.
"I've got to admit. I'm rather surprised to see another super saiyan around here." Athren could almost feel his adrenaline rushing already, the thrill of the fight taking some kind of hold on him. The warriors tone was friendly put rather blunt, held back only by the weight of the events in his life. Though Athren cut straight to the point here, his social skills hindered at the mental and emotional distractions he was facing. "You know, I could use a little spar if you're interested. I wouldn't mind seeing what a Super Saiyan can do."
Of course Athren had experience with being a super saiyan, but he hadn't had the opportunity to go up against one. He couldn't help but hope that this stranger would accept this little offer. It was likely that having a spar of this caliber could very well enlighten Athren a little bit, maybe bring back a little bit more of a sense of balance, point him in the right direction. He needed to figure out something, because at this point he was completely lost.

Throughout Callion, in his unique Super Saiyan transformation – with his ki energy orbs flying all around the area, he was taken aback with his crimson red Super Saiyan eyes glared as he sensed the arrival of a new presence coming towards him, causing the Saiyan warrior monk snap his attention to the approaching Athren, noticing how he smacked one of his ki energy spheres away. Right away, Callion could see that this particular Saiyan was no pushover, and he can sense Athren was completely stronger than him. He had no idea how to take this. Callion was not someone to be jealous by any stretch of the imagination – on the contrary – it rather got him curious, even if he kept a rather serious and scary look on his face. Callion’s Super Saiyan fiery golden yellow aura continue to engulf him, as he approached Athren, stopping a few feet away from the warrior. "Who are you?" Callion asked, his voice deep and powerful, his eyes locked onto Athren's. "What brings you here while I’m training?" Callion asked with his crimson red eyes glared intently at Athren, normally he’d be a little more welcoming, but in his Super Saiyan form; his attitude was more attuned to his Saiyan side; he hasn’t fully mastered the form, having not entered the Grade 2 aspect of the Super Saiyan form, so his aggressive nature is needless to say a lot more obvious. The Saiyan remained relatively silent as Athren talked, he was assessing the situation. Indeed, this newcomer had more than enough power against Callion. He continued to feel Athren’s energy against his own, if anything he could see that this was not a full blooded Saiyan… Another Hybrid; this makes at least… What? Five? Six? Saiyan Hybrids that he has come across so far? The only other Pure-blooded Saiyan that Callion had met was Quash. “So, you’re offering a fight huh?” Callion asked, raising an eyebrow at Athren, folding his arms, his eyes glaring at Athren for a moment. “Normally a stranger would at least have the decency to introduce themselves, but I suppose that can come after the fight. I accept your challenge." Callion's aura intensified as he prepared for battle, his eyes focused on Athren's every move. He was determined to see just how strong this newcomer truly was and what he was made of. Callion was not one to back down from a challenge, and he was eager to see just what he was capable of in this form. "Let's see what you've got," he said, his voice resolute and confident. The stage was set, and the two warriors stood ready to face off in a battle that promised to be epic. “Well then, my name is Callion… I am a Saiyan born from Planet Vegeta and raised on the Planet Bhupal by the Monks of that homeworld. If you’re a fellow Saiyan…” Callion began to grit his teeth, his crimson eyes glared as he his fiery yellow aura began to explode. “DON’T THINK I’LL BE GOING EASY ON YOU IN THIS LITTLE SPAR! GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU GOT!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!”
Callion began to explode with an immense raise to his ki, the very ground beneath the two whilst they were in the air began to violently shake, the air between them started to get hot, the Saiyan was going all out with this little spar. The Saiyan warrior roared with unbridled energy, his aura blazing brighter and brighter, as he unleashed all of his power in an attempt to take down his opponent. Callion’s eyes had a fierce determination as he prepared to unleash his full power against Athren. Callion was known for his intense fighting style and his willingness to give it his all in every battle. He was determined to show Athren just what he was made of and prove himself as one of the strongest Saiyan in the known world, or die trying. The very sky darkened due to the energy that Callion was pumping out, the fiery yellow aura of his Super Saiyan got brighter, the platinum blonde hair and crimson eyes looked as though he was starring into Athren’s very soul, continuing to let out a loud battle cry, his aura blazing as he unleashed his full power. He was determined to push himself to his limits and see just how strong he truly was. "BRING IT ON!" He yelled, his eyes locked onto Athren's as he prepared to unleash his full arsenal of techniques and skills. The Saiyan warrior entered into a fighting stance, readying for the fated battle between the two Saiyans to begin their battle, Callion was actually allowing Athren to go for the first punch; the strategic approach, despite his more aggressive nature, did not deny Callion to see just how powerful Athren was, and he was eager to see what he had in store. The tension between the two warriors was palpable, as the energy in the air continued to grow and the battle was about to begin. Callion, waiting for the right moment to strike. The air was charged with energy as the two warriors stood face to face, ready to engage in an epic battle. The anticipation was palpable, as the Saiyan warrior didn’t make the first move, his eyes locked in a staring contest, waiting for the right moment to strike. The moment was filled with tension, as the Saiyan Monk stood ready to unleash their full power against Athren in this little spar. It was a battle that promised to be one for the ages, a true test of strength and skill, a battle between two warriors determined to prove their worth and emerge victorious. "SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO WARRIOR, PROVE TO ME YOU ARE WORTH OF YOUR SAIYAN BLOOD! I WANT YOU TO SHOW ME JUST HOW POWERFUL YOU CAN BE!!" Callion yelled, baring his teeth as he prepared for the fight. His aura continued to flare and his ki energy surged around him, as he awaited Athren's response. He was eager to see just what this newcomer was capable of, and he was ready to give it his all in this battle. The two warriors stood ready to engage in a fight to the finish, as they both sought to prove their worth as true warriors of their race. The stage was set, and the battle was about to begin.

Callion hadn't wasted any time at all closing the gap between the two to ask a very few simple questions, of course, Athren wasn't going to answer all of it immediately, he was more invested in the situation than the small talk, though he wasn't going to leave this Super Saiyan completely empty-handed, after all, he deserved some respect simply for the feat that he was displaying. Athren knew first hand that the Super Saiyan transformation wasn't an easy one to acquire, it wasn't something for all saiyan's to achieve, it took a special kind of saiyan to reach that level of power and for that alone, Callion had some form of Athren's respect, though there was a lot more to earn. Athren's shoulders shrugged lightly. "I'd hate to tell you, but I was here first." It wasn't that Athren had a problem with this at all, he just couldn't help but be curious. "I live around here, and through the constant vibrations you're sending through the Earth, Can you blame me for being curious?!" It wasn't just the rumbling of the Earth's surface that brought Athren over, but the power that Callion had displayed, this was indeed rare for a fighter based on Earth.
Athren's ocean-blue eyes didn't dare gaze away from Callion's and he could already feel his blood pumping much faster as his blood pressure increased from the excitement of the situation he found himself in. Plus, he hadn't ever gotten to see a Super Saiyan this close before besides in the mirror. Though something was unique about this saiyan, his eyes had been red instead of the normal turquoise, though Athren couldn't help but wonder if his own form was due to being a hybrid. Though it didn't really matter, it brought a sense of wonder about the form, what exactly didn't Athren know about it? "Yeah, Something like that.. and you might be right, but you'd think somebody of your caliber would consider their surroundings before unleashing hell on the landscape." It wasn't that he cared about this at all, but he couldn't help but fire back in the same manner he was being met with. "You've made a mess of my ship."
At this point, Callion entered his fighting stance as the tension built even further. Athren knew this was going to be a highlight moment of his life, though he couldn't deny that he was slightly disappointed with the fact that Callion was being held back, and Athren couldn't help but assume it was by his training gear.
Athren's posture had remained strong and firm, though his hands were down by his sides with his fists now clenched tightly and he couldn't help but gain a small little smirk on his face. The dramatic introduction on Callion's behalf just added more weight to the scenario, Athren felt it wasn't quite necessary to go into that much depth but it worked. Though, it was odd for Callion to request everything Athren had simply because Callion himself wouldn't be returning the favor, he was held back and Athren wasn't going to question that. If this warrior wanted to get stronger, this was the best way for him. "Well Callion, I'm Athren, Former Saiyan Elite of the Empire and unfortunately for you, you get what you give."
It was at this point that Athren effortlessly made a shift in his appearance as his power increased rather dramatically. His hair flared up slightly and his aura blasted up around him in purple. The pupils of his eyes changed to a red color while two black lines went from his eyebrows down to his cheeks. "I know you're being held back, but I'll give you this." Unlike Callion's power up, Athren's had been completely controlled and it would make it very obvious that Athren had harnessed this power previously as if he put in the time to master it. Not only was his power contained and harnessed in such a way that the Earth didn't vibrate to its core but not even a single pebble on the ground rumbled. Between practice and his own Spirit Control technique, Athren had managed to completely master his own energies and it was something he was proud to put on display, it wasn't a thing that many could do, at least not to the extent he could.
Throughout the whole conversation, Athren's tone wouldn't have changed much. An ever-growing tone of excitement would start to find its way into it words but that would be the extent of that as well, and Athren wouldn't even get into his fighting stance. "Alright Super Saiyan, ENTERTAIN ME!"
Given Athren was a natural brawler and simply preferred the up close and personal exchange of fists, he pushed forward and closed the gap in an instant. Drawing back his first punch with his right fist before LAUNCHING it at Callion's chest, nothing more than a little grunt escaped Athren's lips! This punch was rather predictable, but he made it to be so. He wanted to start off easy, at least with the first punch.
The second attack was a left coming around from Athren's left side, swinging wide and quickly aiming for Callion's PERFECT JAWLINE. The power behind his punches would be devastating, his attacks thrown with precision and power, his years of training on display in the first few seconds of this little spar. Of course, though, Athren wasn't fully trying his best yet, he wanted to test the waters first and see how Callion reacted to this simple little one-two. No matter how this battle would go down, no matter who came out on top, Surely Athren would enjoy every moment of it. It wasn't very often one got to fight somebody close to their own level, somebody worthy of being called a super saiyan and Athren was going to take advantage of the opportunity. He just hoped Callion could dish it out and his confidence wasn't misplayed, but Athren had faith in his opponent.

Callion's eyes narrowed as he quickly sidestepped Athren's punch to his chest. Athren's attack was fast and powerful, but Callion had been trained to react to such moves. He countered with a quick punch of his own, wanting to see how Athren was going to be able to handle his own attacks. However, the Saiyan having transformed into his Super Saiyan form was not done yet, he began to fight with his whole body on the light. Callion even went for a full spinning round house kick to the hybrid's neck, and even used his own Saiyan tail to try and smack Athren across the face with it! Callion was no pushover by any means of the imagination. For he was trained Saiyan warrior, and had honed his skills through countless battles and challenges. He knew how to fight with both power and finesse, and was not afraid to take risks in battle. As he fought against Athren, he could see that the young Saiyan was talented and had a lot of potential, but he was still a mysterious opponent compared to him, someone that even Callion had to be careful around and will have to think carefully in how to engage with this opponent further on. As they continued to exchange blows, Callion could sense the power and energy radiating from Athren's body. It was clear that he was tapping into his full potential as a Super Saiyan, and his attacks were becoming more intense and aggressive with each passing moment. Callion could feel the undeniable power that Athren was pumping out, especially the cheer power and force into those fists he was unleashing, there was truly no escape to such sheer energy that he was revealing from one Saiyan to another. It was interesting in a way to finally see just how much power can a Hybrid Saiyan go in achieving the ultimate power of a warrior. Nevertheless, Callion was not about to give up easily. He knew that he had to stay focused and keep his guard up at all times, for any moment of weakness could mean the difference between victory and defeat. He continued to dodge and weave, throwing punches and kicks at Athren whenever he saw an opening. Despite his best efforts, however, Callion saw clearly that Athren was proving to be a formidable opponent. His speed and strength were impressive, and his attacks were becoming more and more unpredictable. Callion knew that he needed to come up with a new strategy if he wanted to win this fight. In the instant where Callion used his tail to hit Athren in the face, Callion used the opportunity to leap backwards and began to assess the situation. He watched Athren carefully, analysing his movements and waiting for an opportunity to strike. And then, he saw it. A split-second opening in Athren's defence – should he of course maintain such a defensive style while the two were engaged in high speed, hard hitting battle between the two, and Callion knew that this was his chance. “I must admit, you know how to throw in a powerful blow with your attacks… You are quite the dangerous opponent, I will give you that.”
Callion complimented Athren, looking at the hybrid Saiyan. “I must admit, you are the first hybrid that I have ever seen to take on the form of a Super Saiyan, let alone what I can only deduce as to having mastered the form by itself. I tip my hat to you, warrior.” Callion spoke with a hint of respect in his voice, acknowledging Athren's skills and strength. Callion simply grinned, feeling a sense of pride at the hybrid Saiyan, wanting to see more of what this unique warrior had in store from this little spar. He knew that Athren was not someone to be taken lightly, and the fact that he was able to hold his own against him was a testament to his own abilities, just as how he was able to hold his own against the hybrid. “Indeed, take these compliments to heart, Athren. I've been waiting quite a long time to see someone like you come into my life and give me a worthy sparring session. Though make no mistake, I'm not done yet,” Callion spoke with an amusement in his voice, his eyes glowing with determination. The Saiyan smirked, deciding to powering up, his fiery aura growing in intensity. He was not going to let up now, not when he was so close to victory. Athren may have been a formidable opponent, but Callion was not going to let him beat him. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! HAHAHA!"
"COME ON ATHREN! LET’S TAKE OUR FIGHT A LITTLE MORE UP A NOTCH! SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN TRULY DO!”
Callion called out to Athren, wanting to see more of what a mastered transformation of the Super Saiyan form can achieve, it was a leaning exercise for Callion. To him, what better way to learn than to fight against a worthy opponent like Athren. As Callion continued the fierce battle with his energy growing ever higher with him furthering his powering up, the vigour and authority radiating throughout the area, it was clear that Callion was the sort of Saiyan, even as a Monk in his own right to not be going to give up easily. He was extremely determined to come out on top in this little spar, to prove his strength and skill as a Saiyan warrior in his own right. If anything, it was rather clear as day on Callion’s face that even he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and exhilaration. This was what he lived for, what he had been training for all his life – to fight and to win. Though, deep down in the Saiyan’s heart, Callion had finally found an opponent worthy of his skills. He knew that no matter who emerged as the victor, this battle would be one that he would always remember, one that would make him a stronger and better warrior in the end. Callion knew that this was just the beginning of a long and fruitful journey. A journey filled with battles, challenges, and victories – a journey that he was ready to embark on, no matter what the cost.

Athren had rather been impressed with the way that Callion slipped past Athren's first punch. Sure, it may have been a simple sidestep but the form had been flawless and the reaction time, well that was simply just top tier. Though upon missing his punch, Athren couldn't help but see the twitch in his opponents arm, indicating that a punch was coming his way, it gave him time to prepare for it, to expect it and sure enough, it would have been sent flying with it's own massive amount of force. Athren's only option was to slip his head out of the way, the punch forcing Athren's hair to be ruffled by the wind of the punch, it brought an excitement that Athren hadn't been able to feel in a hot minute, there weren't any stakes here, it wasn't even about winning or losing, Athren just hoped he could blow off some steam and have a good time with this. Upon Callion's spin Athren braced himself for the next strike to come, the kick came in hard and fast but Athren would've forced his arm up and against the kick, causing a massive slash between their muscles. Athren couldn't help but have a little smirk grow across his face.
The two warriors would go on to rapidly exchange blows, each taking and throwing hits at such a high rate of speed. Though even with their incredible speed, neither of the fights would reduce their quality of attacks, the power being each strike remained, the elegance and precision, they sacrificed nothing in order to achieve such speeds. Though as they exchanged blows and moved rapidly around the terrain, Athren couldn't help but think that this individual had a rather unique fighting style, he didn't seem as raw as most saiyans, even Athren's own attacks were a little more ruthless and brutal compared to Callion's. Callion had a sense of calmness and focus behind his blows that Athren couldn't explain, it was a unique style for a saiyan and that brought more joy to this situation.
Though, if Athren were to admit anything in this moment it wouldn't primarily be how impressive Callion's form was, or the fighting style that fuelled it. It would have to be the fun he was having, there was no pressure here. Each hit that landed, didn't really mean anything to Athren and every hit he received? Well, all it did was provide a distraction for him, something to get his mind off the state of his life. Sure, his life hadn't been terrible right now and things were looking up, but there was a great many things he had to sacrifice to get himself to this point. His kids, his love, his friends, nobody would remember him, and yet here he was remaining on Earth, specifically to protect them. This was his burden, this was the weight he'd carry, and fighting Callion made that weight all but a little lighter, at least for the time being.
It almost had felt like they were opposites, Athren specializing in more offensive plays while Callion's defensive abilities were rock solid, or maybe it was just on a very even scale of power, with both warriors held back, they were just equal on terms of actual skill. Though, as it continued Athren would find himself slapped across the face with a tail, though his head snapped back immediately to focus back in on the fight. Though when Callion had his moment, Athren faked him out with an after image and would appear behind him. Bringing both his hands over his head in a double axe handle style manoeuvre to slam Callion towards the ground, only to leave a brief pause in between.
"And if we're being honest, I've got to say.. You're one of the best defensive fighters I've ever come across. I don't even recall the last time I've met somebody with such a rock solid defence. Getting these shots through, It's taking a completely different level of precision and accuracy.. I don't say it often, but I'm impressed."
Of course Athren would speak his own mind when Callion tipped hi s hat to him, after all it was a sign of respect and it was mutual. Callion had demonstrated some incredible fighting so far in this short period of time and Athren already knew that he'd go to battle with Callion at any time, and that was saying something. Athren wasn't so light picking his teammates, or even people he'd work with. He was trained to be the best, to work with ONLY the best, and Callion was meeting that criteria. The power level difference didn't really mean much at this point, Athren didn't care about it. Power levels changed so frequently, they could never be counted on and hell, for all he knew the next time they met, Callion could be the stronger of the two.
"Hell.. I'm even having some fun with this."
Callion was eager for more, letting out a howling roar as he powered up even further but Athren wasn't going to play that game, he wasn't going to give Callion exactly what he wanted here, Athren was simply going to MATCH what was being given to him. It wasn't that he didn't want to show off just how strong he was, he just felt like going all out would take some of the fun away. In a strange way, this was bringing him peace, fighting on an equal level with somebody and he didn't want to ruin though.
"I'm only going to give you what I'm getting, I want to keep this dead even. Unless of course, you can surpass me."
Right after Athren said those words, he brought his power level up to match Callion's once more. Though the way Athren had done it were so effortless and easy, it would be obvious that he had perfect control over this form and his own Ki abilities. Though less obvious, his Spirit Control was playing a part in his mastery and without that, surely he wouldn't be this under control. Though now with both fighters on an even level once again, Athren jumped back into the battle to start exchanging blows again.

It was truly the Unstoppable Force coming up against the Immovable Object for the first time between these two Saiyans. Never before has Callion gone up against a Saiyan of such calibre to fire away such powerful and fast hitting attacks that really put his defensive style combat to the test. Honestly, the intensity of the fight at the moment, even as Callion managed to dodge out of the way from Athren’s attack and he doing the exact same thing, only caused Callion’s power to skyrocket with his own manner of excitement, and the fact that Athren managed to brace himself and stand face against his kick was something to be admired about this hybrid of a Saiyan warrior. Every blow, whether it was a mixture of light and heavy attacks only caused the very air to quiver and rumble before their monstrous blows against one another, Callion’s smirk that was on his face that he had when his own tail managed to whack Athren across the face immediately disappear as soon as he witnessed the fellow Super Saiyan disappear before his own with the After image technique, that certainly caught the Saiyan Monk’s attention with the usage of that move. Fortunately, Callion’s heightened Ki Sense allowed him to sense Athren moving behind him, which was just enough for the Saiyan to quickly turn around and protect himself and raise his arms up in defence and managed to block against the incoming double axe handle attack, resulting in a heavy shockwave that blew away any clouds within a ten mile radius from the impact. Had his ki sensing ability had not been fully developed against the Hybrid Saiyan, he would’ve very easily been met face first into the ground. More and more, the power and intensity of this battle was getting all the more interesting, and the compliments that the two warriors offered to one another, impressed by each other’s power and being able to handle in their own way only add not only the possibility of sustaining the foundations of a solid friendship between the two, but also the ideal setting stone of training partners, going above and beyond with their own current power right now. There was no denying such a thing at this point, if both Callion and Athren were enjoying this very moment of a sparring competition to test out each other’s power, then it was more than enough for the Saiyan Callion. “Oh, I have to give it to you… Your movements were impressive, Athren, but I have to say, I was able to see your punches coming. Your power is formidable, but it lacks finesse. You were able to dodge my punch, but I could see the tension in your arm as you prepared for my kick. You're a good fighter, but you need to relax and focus more on technique.” Callion spoke, using his feet to raise them up towards Athren’s stomach and actually attempted to used the flow of his ki as both a rocket and ki attack. Using the projection to blast himself away from the close-range fight, whilst at the same time hoping to attack the hybrid super Saiyan with a surprise movement of his own. Whether or not Athren managed to get hit or not by the indirect flow of the ki beam rockets that emerged out of his feet, Callion managed to fly himself away by a solid thirty yards away from the fight, slowly standing up straight in mid-air, having a little smirk in his own right. “Your afterimage was impressive, Athren, but it wasn't enough to fool me. You were able to dodge my attack, but I'm still standing. You're right, I do pride myself on my defensive abilities, and I'm glad to see that you appreciate it. I can definitely say that I am enjoying this spar, but what I'm enjoying the most is the freedom to fight without any stakes. This is just two warriors testing each other's limits, and I'm having fun doing it. I can sense the weight on your shoulders, Athren, and I'm glad I can help lighten that burden, even if it's just for a little while.” Callion admitted to Athren, having heard his comment about denying him the desire to truly step it up to the next level, and such a comment actually made Callion smirk in his own right. Of course, such a reasoning was rather obvious in his eyes, if Athren wanted to give out what Callion was dishing out… Then it will be up to the pureblooded Saiyan to show Athren that he has the capability to surpass him. “Is that right? Well then… Let’s see how you can handle this…” Callion closed his eyes, the very fiery ki that was engulfed around the Super Saiyan seemingly calmed itself into a steady flowing candleflame as if by instant, the Saiyan truly embracing the unique and rare calm stature that he had learnt to develop over the many years, and now he was doing once against infront of Athren, “Kaaaaaaa…. Meeeeeee…” Callion spoke quietly, focusing all his effort into the signature move, motioning his hands into a circular manner before bringing them into a cupped position to his side, the embers of his ki focusing onto a single point between his hands. “HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA….. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…” In that moment of all being thrown into what he saw was a signature ditch attack, in his hands formed a perfect Ki sphere of white and blue glow that shined brightly against the clear open sky that stretched across the now open air, the very sun itself glistened against the shining ki energy that the Saiyan Monk was emitting, his fully determined eyes pushing himself with his sense of accomplishment and pride before Athren, this was the very move that the Saiyan could say it was his pride and joy and the very technique that was his last push of power against Liari, Callion showed his very serious face and act of defiance that he made with his last stand back in West City. “HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!”
With his lung bursting scream, Callion fired what was the very pinnacle and empowered strength that was his Kamehameha beam right towards Athren and if successful, the legendary beam that was made by none other than Master Roshi itself would’ve hit point blank towards the hybrid Super Saiyan, the blue beam it’s beautiful and deadly form could be seen for miles, firing out of the planetary’s atmosphere and disintegrating afterwards.

If it weren't for the hard won fight against his own father, it truly would've been ages since Athren had a fight of this caliber. He could appreciate every second of it, even if he wasn't fully invested in it. While he respected Callion for what he was capable of, there was still something distracting Athren from fully embracing this and taking it as serious as he could. Though, he was completely lost. He didn't know which direction to step next, nor did he really know what he was going to do with his life and that alone, was a heavy weight on him. His whole life up until recently had been planned out and when life changed, he had new plans but for the first time, he was alone. He didn't have Zerori, he didn't have his children, he didn't have his crew. There was no need to work like he used too, he didn't need funds, supplies, and other necessities for a large group of people. He essentially just needed to look after himself, and though easy.. it was new to him.
When Athren had used his after image and went for his attack, Callion was able to block it in a rather quick fashion. Again, another impressive feat but at this point, Athren was learning to expect it. Callion's defense was just so perfect, on point and the best that he's seen in a long time. He still couldn't claim somebody else was better even if he tried. Athren knew he had a fairly solid defensive game but, he'd have to give it to Callion here. Whether the reason simply being their own fighting styles, or the lack of stakes. At this moment, Callion was better at defense. Athren loved brawling, being up close and personal, exchanging heavy blows with his opponent, that was just how he fought.
Though a brief pause in the fight would bring Callion to have some words, and though they were rather interesting, they were mildly annoying. For one warrior to judge anothers fighting style, throw in their own little comments? That wasn't how Athren was. Though Athren wasn't capable of determining how old Callion was, Athren did know one thing. Athren had spent his entire life fighting and training, that was what he knew. He was good at what he did, his wins far passed his losses and that meant something to him as a warrior. He didn't quite care if at the moment he was tense, it wasn't his concern. There weren't stakes here, this wasn't serious and Athren couldn't be bothered to bring out his best and maybe, he was saving that for Liari.
"It's very bold of you to tell me how to fight, maybe I'm just not taking this very seriously yet." Athren couldn't help put pause a moment. "Don't act like you aren't being held back, I can tell that you've got much more to offer me than what you're currently putting on display now. You ask me for more when you restrain yourself?" Athren couldn't help but pause for a brief moment as he shook his head. "I'll take off my restraints, when you take off yours."
Of course, Athren wasn't speaking in the manner of weighted clothing. He had found himself in a position where he simply wasn't trying very hard, he was holding himself back. His power level wasn't at maximum and he was doing his best to pull his punches to stay even with Callion. He could sense that Callion had quite a lot more to offer in this little spar, but Athren knew he wasn't going to get it. There was no reason for either of them to go all out, to try. If that had been the case though, surely Athren would be much more invested and ready to fight to his fullest.
It was shortly after this that Callion's eyes went to his side as he started forming an energy ball in his hands, he began to speak. Starting rather quietly as he focused all his energy into a single point. Athren couldn't help but think that this was going to be interesting as he quickly ran through his options. Though if Callion wasn't going to take the weights off, Athren would at least display briefly what he was actually capable of.
Upon Callion unleashing this Kamehameha technique, Athren would hover there and await it to get close to him and it rapidly would. Just as it reached him Athren would unleash his Super Saiyan form to it's fullest, no longer suppressing any of his power. He would quickly extend his right hand and bring up his Nova Barrier technique. The Nova Barrier itself was a simple technique, it was just an invisible layer of energy used to block techniques such as this. Athren would hold it there long enough for the Kamehameha to conclude before lowering his hand and bringing down the barrier. His power level slowly lowering back to Callion's.
"Impressive technique." The only real thing he could compare it to was the King's very own Galick Gun. A technique he had seen displayed on rare occasion and the only technique he could claim would rival the Kamehameha in style and form. Other than that, this technique was very unique. It wasn't the normal type of an attack a saiyan would use. The way the energy was manipulated and concentrated and then dispersed, it was focused, elegant and well thought out. Most saiyan attacks were energy balls, blasts, beams even but something that required this amount of focus and effort? It was very rare indeed. It was almost a technique that Athren could see himself using, one that he'd rather like to acquire. Though, he wasn't going to ask here and now to learn it, he wasn't even going to mention it.

"Aaaah... And there it is..."
Callion spoke in his Super Saiyan form, continuing his sparring session with Athren; the Hybrid Super Saiyan. After Callion had fired his Kamehameha, he could sense it. It was in the very moment, but the Saiyan Monk sensed Athren having unlocked a power within him for just that very moment to block the kamehameha. Callion held the power long enough as it slowly dwindled away, for he was not angry that Athren managed to block the attack - far from it. He was impressed. "So, you had to utilise your full power to block my Kamehameha, hmm? I'm rather flattered." Callion praised Athren, seeing the potential within him. For one reason or another, whether it was the effects of Death having affected Callion to a degree, he had this… ‘sense’ of feeling the still energy from within the Demon Saiyan Hybrid, even beyond that of the Mastered form of the Super Saiyan technique. Callion smiled, truly Athren was one of intelligence for a warrior, there was no trying to fool him – calling Callion out for knowing he was holding back the power within him that, in his own way, rivalled that of the Super Saiyan form to the fullest, causing the Saiyan Monk to smile. “Heheheh… No fooling you, is there Athren. You’re right. I am holding back my power, mainly because it’s dangerous… Not just for you. But for me as well, if I am to use this technique, I will have to end this fight quickly since it costs me a lot of energy and my very life energy as well.”
Callion told Athren the truth, no lies came out of the Saiyan Monks voice as he made reference to the combining technique of the Super Saiyan form and the Kaio-Ken technique… Otherwise known as Super Kaio-Ken. “I don’t want you to be offended, of course, make no mistake… However, this power is very dangerous, and I don’t doubt you, even I must be cautious when using such power…” The Saiyan Monk closed his eyes and focused, the very yellow fiery aura of the Super Saiyan form stopped, taking on the gentle swaying motion of a candlelight for a moment. His eyes were closed, concentrating on the full power that was building up, like a volcano that was about to be unleashed to the world with an immense explosion of power. That was the moment when Callion’s eyes opened. “SUPER KAIO-KEN!!”
Callion roared, the once yellow fiery glow and aura of a Super Saiyan immediately transformed into a raging red inferno, the Blonde hair turned into a crimson red, and even the skin had a reddish tint due to the sheer intensity of the Kaio-Ken form now applied onto a Super Saiyan transformation. The Saiyan Monk, took in the immense power that had now been unleashed within him, feeling the energy coursing through his veins and muscles, making him feel invincible. However, he knew that this power came with a price, and he couldn't maintain it for too long. Callion charged towards Athren, his movements now faster and more fluid than ever before, as if the Saiyan Monk had disappeared in an instant and reappeared right infront of him with an unnatural amount of speed and kinetic force. There was no denying that the transformation and presence that Callion now had in the Super Kaio-ken form had an huge pressure of the energy emanating from Callion, causing the ground to shake and the air to vibrate. Callion’s very fighting stance took on an changeable form. No longer was there a defensive style, but instead it was changed to a full on Strength and Speed fighting style techniques, for the fiery Red Super Kaio-Ken Callion unleashed a flurry of blows, a variety of lightning fast punches and kicks that were flying in all directions with precision all over Athren’s body, in order to show him the true power that the Saiyan monk had in his possession, not only showing the true capabilities that he had in his possession, but to also prove his worth as a warrior with the limited time he had left with this energy multiplier. There was more to this transformation however, it was also to send a message to his opponent that he was not to be underestimated, even if Athren had managed in finding a way to unlock the full power of the Super Saiyan form, Callion had his own way to matching toe to toe against the Hybrid in his own way. Callion could feel his transformation radiating off from him. The Saiyan now in a combination of the Super Saiyan form with the Kaio-Ken technique... This Super Kaio-ken form was truly a sight to behold, as Callion's already impressive power level skyrocketed to new heights. As he stood there, his aura crackling with energy, Callion couldn't help but feel the blessing and burden of such a power after learning the Kaio-Ken technique from Otherworld at the lessons from King Kai himself. He had trained and used the time wisely during his Death to achieve this level of power, and now he was finally seeing the results, though truth be told, he never expected this Super Kaio-Ken technique to truly work, but he knew he had to end it quickly. For all the power and speed it provided, even the defence being beneficial, the technique was eating away at his life energy quickly. With a smirk on his face, Callion continued to push on with the assault, ever launching himself forward towards Athren, his body moving faster than the eye could see. He closed the distance between himself and his opponent in the blink of an eye, should the hybrid continue to move away his fist making a mighty blow with a resounding crack. Even Callion had to truly adapt to the power right now, admittedly using Athren as a real live test dummy to try out his newfound strength, he noticed that his movements were more fluid and effortless than ever before. The Super Kaio-ken had not only increased his power but also enhanced his speed, reflexes, and senses. Callion could very well see, feel, and hear everything in this form, and he could only go forward… Faster… Stronger… Even Faster… Far more stronger… There truly was no telling, even with the limited time he had left in this form with what he could do.

"Had too might be a stretch.." Though the praise was rather nice, Athren was still playing around. He didn't NEED to use his full power in order to stop Callion's rather impressive technique, but it did make it that much easier to handle. Without the stakes, this was essentially just a play fight, a spar with no purpose except to looses up, fight away some of the demons stacking their weight on a warrior, a way to remove ones stress and have but a little bit of fun. There wasn't any requirement to try here. Now, if this battle was one where a warrior would be dead by the end of it, of course Athren would try his absolute best, but until that situation would arise, it was all fun and games. "I should tell you, I've known from the start that you've been holding back and that's exactly the reason I have as well."
Though it came to the point where Callion mentioned ending this fight quickly because of a technique that required a lot of energy, including life energy. Now THIS was a bold move for a little match that meant nothing at the end. What was the purpose of using such a technique, here and now? Did Callion simply want to try and take the win to prove something to himself? Maybe he wanted to prove something to Athren instead? Regardless of WHY, it seemed unnecessary here but Athren was going to brace himself for it. If this technique was as heavy as Callion claimed it would, Athren could play the defensive card and let it runs its course, essentially allowing Callion to wear himself down to the point where he could no longer fight.
"SUPER KAIO-KEN!"
Upon hearing Callion shout those words, his aura was consumed by a shade of red and his POWER blasted up and Athren immediately responded by bringing his power level back up to full, he wasn't going to get beat by a technique, even if it WAS an impressive one. Though, this would give Athren a decent amount of time to study this technique. He hadn't seen ANYTHING like it before and surely, there were others who could boost their power levels with a technique instead of a transformation. It was something that he would now be on the lookout for and he surely wanted to know how far this thing could be pushed.
Though it wasn't enough to close the gap between the two of them completely, it was more than enough to keep things interesting. Athren was rather eager to test this booster technique, could it do damage to a Super Saiyan who wasn't holding back anymore? He doubt that it would be able too, but he was still excited to see Callion try.
Callion was truly something else entirely from anybody he's fought before, especially for a saiyan warrior. The way he fought was completely different from an average saiyan, the way he carried himself, the way he dressed, his attacking style, his defensive style, and now even his techniques. They made him stand apart from anybody Athren had ever met before, and it earned Callion Athren's respect on all aspects of the warrior that he was. Personality wise, it was still in question though. Callion was much softer spoken, calmer and more controlled than the usual saiyan, and Athren wasn't quite sure how that hit him yet, but surely he'd determine that before the end of this fight.
Athren took his defensive stance as he braced for the impact of Callion's next assault and now with Athren showing his true power, it would be similar to how it was before. The battle continued as both warriors moved rapidly around the mountain, exchanging devastating blows and blocking and dodging even more. It was the most exciting thing Athren had gotten to face in a while, this 'Kaioken' technique. Even his father who had tricks, didn't have a technique such as this to face off against. If Callion's power level had matched Athren's own, this would be a brutal technique to use, trumping anything Athren could dish out but for now, that wasn't the case at all and Athren still had the advantage.
"So this technique of yours.." Athren spoke as their speed surpassed anything displayed before this point, their blows sharper, deadlier and MUCH more effective than before. "Why show it off here? In a battle that means nothing." Taking a hit to the face, his head turning sideways as he focused back in and attempted to deliver a HARSH blow to Callion's stomach. "Seems foolish to strain yourself for this, and now I'm aware of this little technique of yours."
While it was an impressive technique, it was risky showing it off here and now. Though Athren had no intentions of harming Callion aside from the normal injuries caused from a spar, there was always a risk that an individual had terrible motives. Athren was clear of this, trying to walk the right path and correct all of his wrongs but if Callion were to show this to somebody else, it was essentially just giving the opponent to prepare for it the next time, when there were actual stakes and the fight meant something. Who knew how long it would take before Callion and Athren would fight again and by that point, Athren could very well have developed something to counter this technique, to render is useless and force Callion to drain himself for nothing.
It was a very risk versus reward-based technique, but there was no reward here. This meant nothing to Athren and it shouldn't have meant anything to Callion either. It was childs play, a casual spar for nothing more than entertainment value and to blow off some steam. If Callion really wanted to push the limits, he could've simply removed his weights but this technique? This was what Athren would call a trump card, a card you don't show often, one you save for the right moment.

"Heheheh, If you think a battle like this means nothing, even if it's a simple spar, then I may just have to question whether you really are a Saiyan or not."
Callion teased Athren in a way, smirking the process as the Crimson red Saiyan in his Super Kaioken form continued his relentless onslaught against the hybrid warrior. For every blow that Callion threw at Athren's direction, that man managed to block and deflect his enhanced punches and kicks, and ontop of that Callion took the harsh blow to the stomach, making him gag from the pain! Truly, Athren was in a whole other league compared to him. Even though he managed to attain what Callion could only describe as a Mastered form of the Super Saiyan, Callion had to strain his whole body in order to catch up to him, going all out with his power and technique.
“If anything, I have to thank you in a way. Sure, you know my techniques… Two of them, if you add in the Kamehameha. But what better way to show my own power. To test my own limits and see just how strong you really are.”
Callion, in this very moment gave a compliment to Athren, acknowledging the fact that he was going all own on this sparring session just for him, and him alone to face against. Callion, besides having lived the life of a Monk on a foreign planet, has also always been a fighter who enjoys challenging himself and pushing himself to become stronger. There was no denying the fact that Athren, by rights, a worth opponent, and Callion wanted to see how strong he really was, and considering that he has thus far managed to hold his own against the powers of a Super Kaioken punches and kicks. It was incredible. Callion wanted to push himself further, it was his own way to impress the hybrid with his strength and skill. “So yeah, you can say that I am counting on you to know my technique..”
Callion grinned wickedly with a snicker, whilst he also hid the fact that GOODNESS this technique was going to hurt in the morning, but what good way to truly push the body to it’s limits for this one moment of pure excellent training. The Saiyan monk felt the fiery aura surrounding their body. The very flames that surrounded his body was heavy on his body, his eyes also became more intense and focused during the entire ordeal with Athren, and their muscles appeared to be more defined and pronounced due to the increased power output, but with veins showing the sheer energy that was required pump and flow the energy needed.
If anything, if Athren knew of the technique, and found a way to counter such a power, then Callion would just have to find a way to rebound with a counter of his own. To the Saiyan monk, this is what is meant to be a competitive fighter, and he loves to show off his techniques and abilities to other strong fighters. By using the Super Kaioken technique, he was able to demonstrate his power and skill to Athren. “You got to admit Athren, this is fun huh? Pushing our bodies to such limits, even in a spar of our own. This is what it means to be a Saiyan, to get even stronger than we are right now and see if we can get even further beyond.” There was no denying it that Callion is truly enjoying the sparring session with Athren and is pushing himself to his limits to test his own strength and skill.
“Heheheh, but don’t think I have notice that you’re holding back in your techniques… The way you had to power up to your full power just to block my Kamehameha… You’re hiding something yourself in your own right.” Callion called out to Athren, his whole body flowing with his hits, the flurry of punches and kicks continued to direct their way. Athren truly embodied that of a Saiyan warrior, cold and ruthless in his own right – even for a Hybrid Saiyan – he lived the very template of the warrior race, and that something that truly intrigued Callion, for he never had the chance to truly shine in such a light of possessing the warrior mindset. Even as such a thing had slowly been unlocked to him in Otherworld, it would take quite some time for Callion to also have that very same mental aspect of a warrior and that would require the sacrifice of leaving the Monk life behind him.
“Come on, show me what you can really do. A technique, for a technique. I know that there is something that you aren’t showing me, so let’s see what you can really do…” Callion called out to Athren, moving at such a speed that it looked as though he had teleported away from the hybrid Saiyan, Callion looked at his hands and noticed them shaking due to the energy required in this transformation. “Heheheh… Looks like my body is still learning in how to properly utilise the concentration. Looks like I havn’t got that much time yet, so how about you really amaze me with that power of yours.” The Saiyan grinned, calling out Athren in having the same feeling like how Callion was hiding his true power and technique, he had just the same assumption with Athren in that there was something more to his abilities. Callion, knowing that he doesn’t have much long before his body decided to give out on him, called his sparring partner out that, wanting Athren to reveal too the full-blooded Saiyan in what he was holding back. Callion was eager to see what Athren was truly capable of, and he knew that the only way to do that was to challenge him to show off his true power.
“So how about it? One more blow to this sparring session n and call it a day, huh? I’d hate for either one of us to knock each other around too hard, huh?”

"A battle like this.. really doesn't mean anything, does it? There's no stakes, nothing to protect.. No objective to accomplish aside from seeing who's better.. At the end of the day, as long as I'm better than I was yesterday, that's all that really matters to me and this battle? This battle doesn't dictate that, only I do."Athren truly meant this when he said it. There had once been a time when he was dead set on being the best, back when he was a young saiyan child on Vegeta, pushing himself to be the top of his class, to be the one the light shined down on every single day. He wanted to have the flawless records, be under the spotlight of his instructors, he wanted to be the top student, the one selected for all the missions and assignments that would come up. He wanted to prove himself and be a valuable asset to the Planet Vegeta. He wanted to become an elite, the best, the strongest and a very well respected member of that society. Though with that thought in mind, it all went down the drain when he realized just exactly what the thrones best interest was and at the time, it surely wasn't the population but the throne the royals had sat upon. It was a damn shame because if he would've been treated well and been respected for his efforts and strength, he might've very well stayed with the Empire but now? He was off on his own. The fists had kept flying as the two exchanged blows, it was rapid paced combat that kept him on the edge of his seat. Athren knew he'd have to keep full attention on Callion and he wouldn't be able to get distracted through it all. Even if there weren't stakes and he still found himself to be fully invested, he wanted to keep this thing as even as possible. Though the weight of his most recent decisions had still been weighing down upon him. They felt as if they were slowing his movements, dulling his strikes and adding an unnecessary weight behind every single action that he went for. It was a simple decision he made and one that he'd have to live with for the rest of his life, but he had to find a way to live with it. To let it sit in the back of his mind instead of resting down upon his shoulders. He had to find a way to move forward, to carry on and keep himself together and this, this very well may have been the best practice he could ask for. "If I were you, I'd be saving those techniques. I'd save the special ones for a situation that's a little more worthy.. Who knows when the Majin is going to show up again. It'd be better off not risking her hearing about it." Athren was a firm believer in keeping his best hidden until the time called for it. If all his opponents heard about his techniques that could keep him alive, they wouldn't do very well at keeping him alive. They'd know what to lookout for, what to prepare for. They'd develop the perfect techniques to counter him at every turn and he wasn't going to risk doing that at all. If he was going to spend his time developing deadly techniques to help him win a serious fight, he'd damn well save them for that fight. Sure, it was nice for Callion to want to test himself but maybe this was just something that would set the two warriors apart. Callion was one to test himself and not think of the serious battles to come, the ones where he'd be fighting for his life while Athren, he took everything just a little bit TOO seriously. Maybe it was his downfall, or maybe it was exactly what he'd need to do to stay alive. Although the two had very different personalities, it was obvious that they were rather getting along just fine. Athren didn't mind Callion so far, though he may have thought him to be a little naive, he was a very capable warrior. One who Athren could never expect to meet out here in the mountains that he would call home. Regardless, he had a hunch that this might actually turn into something, maybe a rivalry, maybe a friendship or maybe they'd just be helpful acquaintances. Who knew at the moment, but only time would really tell. "What if I were to tell you.. That I don't really have any techniques to show off?" Athren arched his brow curiously as a smirk came over his face. "Maybe this Super Saiyan transformation is the best I've got?" Of course, Athren was most likely playing around here but he would much rather have Callion believe that he wasn't. Though they might've gotten along, all of Athren's damage and history would force him to be a little secretive off the hop. He wasn't one to reveal everything to somebody in the first meeting, that wasn't like him. He didn't want to show his hand or show his opponent exactly what he was capable of. The less people knew about him right now, the better and that was how he wanted to keep this thing. Though, with it getting later in the day, It might've just been a good idea to call it quits here. "Or.. We can simply say our goodbyes here, After all.. I don't really think there's much more we can show each other. At least, nothing more beneficial than what we've already been faced with." With that, he'd give his opponent a fair chance to respond to him. Athren didn't need to leave right here in this moment, but was leaning towards it. Maybe Callion would let him go or maybe he'd have some sort of a surprise to go with it. Only time would tell, but Athren wasn't going to let his guard down quite yet.
